If this was a gamble I'd be broke Bet on the next time we'd have spoke A stones throw and let it guide me where it was Your calling card of slur and sleaze I dreamt of a speech for your machine Still have your scar healing on my knee If I got here from my words I'll replace them with 2 chords Write this song and use it as a plea Is this what you make of me? Is this what you make of me? Is this what you make of me? Am I a poor child to your heart? Am I a poor child to your heart? Am I a burden in your arms? Ahhhhh!! Ahhhhh!! Ahhhhh!! Ahhhhh!!

I just don't understand How we share the same flesh and blood Because through each tampered burst of anger I cleaned up after the flood of you It's painted over in your mind As for me, I still have the rough sketches A million sheets clutter my desk I cant throw out or I will forget this sometime And I want to look at you And see this trauma-fueled image So I avoid my naivety By being mindful of your actions And although we floated apart This tidal wave took you under And it's so hard to forget But I wish, I wish That I wont have to wonder what it's like Just like a bookmark, you’re back to the page Of this book you have read so many times, but in your age You never read fast enough to finish reading The ink on the page, will never stop bleeding No doubt in my mind you won’t end up completing But I guess, you’ll give in to this curse It’s been a couple of weeks So nice to see the bottle on a shelf Treated it as a trophy yourself You see it once a while It pulls you, to bring back that vile Abuse to everyone that stayed around you Clearly, you didn’t learn a thing

18 years, that's one hell of a time A dozen new lives just a year down the line And the adults in my life ask where I'm setting my sights I tell them I'm scared of the loneliness Once this life's far from home, it gets hard to exist When my iris is a phonebook full of people that I miss And this neighborhood dissolves like a paper in the mist Those culdesacs look like black eyes from above There's a hollowed-out bedroom where a kid should've been Playing guitar, on his mattress, he sits The window latch undone with the sun leaking in Suburbia simple as is And I know that all is fleeting This adolescent veil spread thin And my future is starting to scare me My eyes are red, I wont deny it I'll be kicking and screaming and banging my fists till its over And it's not over It's never over It's just started now It'll never end My dream is a stage with a microphone stand But with how things are going I need another plan That life is a lottery and I don't have a chance Offices consume the artists And I know that it's misleading The thought that just cause you try you will win And though this opportunity is leaving I'll still use my soul when I sing When I Sing When I Sing When I Sing When I Sing

I need you here But every time I click, your name, it disappears And I know it’s from my lack of focus, train of thought, but I need you here I sat down on the kitchen floor And sobbed away my own lie When I made a promise that I’ll come back tomorrow I knew it wasn’t right Although you wanted me to come back tomorrow I thought I lost that spark of light One-sided conversation To both sides who took part It wasn’t hard to disengage the past It happened quicker than it took to restart The duct tape tries to block the leak But it keeps dripping down Buckets full of these memories are obstacles To getting around And even though I want to shut them away forever I’ll have to move from this town

Please just let me leave today I wanna see another day But I can't it's far too late I have put on masquerade Her vision's fading away And he is going insane Yet I'm afraid that they'll turn gray Thinking that they are okay I want to tell you that you're not But you can't realize my train of thought You are lost inside your mind The only thing you realize isn't true I want to tell you Man, I wish there was a way Of bringing you back to the good old days When you didn't get diseased And when you didn't have aching knees Yeah, we all want you to stay But it ain't gonna be that way God has made us go away And you still think that you're okay I want to tell you that you're not But you can't realize my train of thought You are lost inside your mind The only thing you realize isn't true I want to tell you the truth

I don't know if I'll stick around forever And I don't know if she really loves me Or if it's some cruel joke Emptiness eventually leads to nothing in the end The moon shows me a man who isn't living Though he does what he is told I don't wanna sulk And I don't wanna suck down another drink I just want peace and to be happy, uh-huh Save me St. Rita Save me St. Rita Save me St. Rita Save me St. Rita Save me St. Rita
